In fall 2008, seven of Quebec’s associations for Library and Information have joined forces to offer their community a conference reflecting the richness and diversity of world literature.
Under the theme "Investing in the Digital World", the First Conference of the Library and Information Community of Quebec held at the Palais des congrès de Montreal from 11 to 14 November 2009. Over fifty activities were organized, as well as an exhibition comprising more than fifty stands. Nearly 900 participants are presented, which made this event, the first of its kind, a great success.
In 2010, the Conference of the Library and Information Community of Quebec proposed to "Imaging New Partnerships", a theme which has gathered more than 1,000 people at the Palais des congrès de Montreal from November 3 to 5.
Through the work of nine associations, this new edition offers to "Redefining Information Spaces", a theme that we reflect on the metamorphosis taking place in the library community, torn between tradition and modernity.
